Palaiskeller in the Würtzburg-Palais

Our historic vaulted cellar in the Würtzburg Palais offers a great setting for celebrations and family gatherings as well as an exceptional location for seminars and workshops. The house was named after its builder Johann Veit von Würtzburg. He had it built in the shadow of the Schneidturm tower  around 1720. Today, the Würtzburg Palais houses the city’s own CVB:  Congress-Tourismus-Würzburg.

 

A separate entrance leads from the inner courtyard to the cellar of the building. A few steps take you down into the cellar with its originally preserved vaulted ceiling. Through the foyer you enter the actual function room, which can accommodate up to 50 people. In winter, underfloor heating ensures cosy temperatures, while the cellar provides a pleasantly cool atmosphere in summer. The catering is not restricted to a particular company. You are welcome to outsource the catering services to a catering company of your choice, or you can do it yourself. In a separate room there is a small sideboard with shelves, a refrigerator and a sink. Please note that crockery, glasses and tableware are not available.

The Palaiskeller is centrally located near the river Main on the edge of the Old Town. The train station (10 minutes) and the market square (8 minutes) are within walking distance. If that sounds good to you, why not drop by?
