Congress Centrum Würzburg - Location and arrival

Good transport connections, easy accessibility, ample parking – for you this means: simply arrive, whether by train, car or plane.

As an ICE hub, Würzburg has excellent rail connections. Around 70 ICE and IC connections and a good 350 passenger trains arrive and depart every day.

From the main train station you can reach the Congress Centrum either by streetcar (line 2, direction Zellerau, 3rd stop “Congress Centrum”), by cab (approx. 1 km) or on foot (through the Ringpark, approx. 10 minutes on foot).

Book your event ticket at a nationwide fixed price from € 51.90 (one-way, 2nd class, train connection) from any DB station to Würzburg.

The A3 and A7 autobahns cross important European transport routes in Würzburg.

If you are using a navigation system, please enter “Pleichertorstraße” as your destination (to load and unload the Franconia Foyer, please enter “Kranenkai”).

If you are coming from Frankfurt (A3 exit Helmstadt or Kist or from the B8), drive straight ahead over the Friedensbrücke bridge. The Congress Centrum is immediately behind it on the right.

Coming from Nuremberg (A3 exit Heidingsfeld) or Bad Mergentheim (B19), turn left onto Mergentheimer Straße and Saalgasse, pass the western bridgehead of the Alte Mainbrücke and, after driving through Dreikronenstraße, turn right over Friedensbrücke and, after passing the bridge, turn right again to the Congress Centrum.

Coming from Kassel (A7 exit Estenfeld), Schweinfurt (B19), Bamberg (B22), Nuremberg (B8) , you can reach the Congress Centrum via Berliner Platz (traffic circle, exit Hauptbahnhof) via Haugerring and Röntgenring. Before the eastern bridgehead of the Friedensbrücke, turn left to the Congress Centrum.

E-mobility: All charging stations in and around Würzburg that are operated by Würzburger Versorgungs- und Verkehrs-GmbH (WVV) can be found on this interactive charging map. Behind the Congress Centrum (Turmgasse 9) there are 2 type 2 columns (22 kW).

There are three international airports within a radius of 150 km.

  • Nuremberg Airport: 110 km
  • Frankfurt/Main Airport: 120 km
  • Stuttgart Airport: 165 km
There is an hourly direct ICE train connection to Frankfurt Rhine-Main Airport (90 minutes), and Nuremberg Airport can be reached by train and car in just over an hour.

Congress tickets entitle participants of congresses, conferences and other business events to use public transport in Würzburg as often as they like. The tickets are valid in the entire city area as well as the municipalities of Höchberg and Gerbrunn (Großwabe Würzburg). All bus lines in the Großwabe and 5 streetcar lines are available to your guests. This allows you to make your participants mobile at particularly favorable conditions.

Congress tickets can only be sold to event organizers. The minimum purchase is 50 tickets per event(information sheet).

  • Congress Centrum underground car park, Pleichertorstraße 5 (237 parking spaces) Disabled parking spaces and elevator available
  • Parking lot Congress Centrum, Kranenkai 2 (currently 101 parking spaces)
  • Talavera parking lot (1,084 free parking spaces) 7-minute walk, temporary fairground (limited)
  • Friedensbrücke parking lot, Viehmarktplatz (105 parking spaces, 30 bus/truck/motorhome parking spaces) 5 minutes on foot

Accessibility

“Accessibility tested” award for the Congress Centrum:
